President Barack Obama has chosen Jay Carney to take charge of the administration’s press office. Carney is a reporter and is currently the spokesman for vice President Joe Biden. The announcement was made by Chief of Staff Bill Daley.
Carney will be the successor of Robert Gibbs in the job, who in recent months had a tense relationship with the media. It was known that Jay Carney was in a list of potential candidates among Bill Burton, Stephanie Cutter, Josh Earnest and Jen Psaki.
