Gilbert Gottfried has finally decided to apologize for the insensitive jokes he posted about Japan following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit the country on Friday. The apology comes after it was known he was fired as Aflac’s spokesman.
In a statement the comedian said:
“I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my attempt at humor regarding the tragedy in Japan. I meant no disrespect, and my thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
